Inauguration
Students@IT Association for the term July-December 2010 was inaugurated on July 31, 2010. Dr Radhakrishnan, Phd., Dept. of Computer Science, King Khalid University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, graced the inaugural function. ITA President, Mr William Sundaram presented the manifesto of the newly constituted student committee based on the topics for study and presentation:

The student leaders of ten groups of IT Association presented a paper on their above topic. The presentations had four parts: Concept, Technology, Tools and Applications. Following the Technical Paper Overview, the chief guest delivered his key-note address in which he shared his knowledge on Information Technology in common and in Saudi Arabia.
Bi-annual Paper Presentation
As per the ITA tradition, the students organized the Bi-annual Paper Presentation on November 19, 2010. During this event the student groups presented their paper for evaluation. Prof. Ms Jasmine Priscilla, Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women, Vaniyambadi and Mr G.J. Raman ME, Yellagiri Hills were invited to evaluate the technical skills and language skills of the students respectively. At the end of the Paper presentation, students' performance reports based on Technical and Language aspects were evaluated. Mr GJ Raman, a friend of Don Bosco Center, suggested that a rehearsal can be held prior to presenting their paper. Fr Gregory Thaddeus, the Director of BIIT announced the results of the day: the groups that presented the paper on Open Source, Multimedia and e-Learning Technologies were adjudged best paper of the day.
Valediction
The first semester of ITA was concluded with the valediction programme held on November 20, 2010. Prof. G. Johanna Johnsi Rani, Associate Professor (Dept. of Computer Science), Madras Christian College, presided over the function. At the outset, ITA Executive Secretary read-out the Bi-annual report of Students@IT Association. Fr Thaddeus, Director of BIIT, gave the felicitation address. Mr William Sundaram, ITA President, announced the results of the election of new ITA Secretaries for the upcoming Semester. The Chief-guest of the programme, in her keynote address, spoke about her career in the field of Information Technology and stressed on the importance of documentation in IT Field. Students shared their general feedback on conducting IT Association for the semester.
