Admission into PGDIT/PGDCA programmes of BIIT is open to intellectually bright students (boys and girls) irrespective of caste and creed, who have completed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from socially, economically backward sectors of rural and tribal Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry.
The application forms are issued from the second week of February until the end of March. The application can be obtained in person or by post from the office by paying a prescribed fee. Entrance Examination is conducted at different places in Tamil Nadu and the candidates may choose any one of these venues. Based on the performance in the entrance examination, candidates are short-listed for the interview on the same day. The final admission is done by the Management Board of BIIT with Rector as the Chairperson.
Selection is confirmed only after the Director and his team’s visit to the houses of the selected candidates to ascertain the candidate’s background. Classes commence in the second week of July.
